How to make Backup and Restore Mazda Maps

You can make backup of your Mazda Connect Navigation content device or restore the device to a previous state following steps from below:

Open you Mazda Update Toolbox from your Laptop/PC

1.  

Backup Procedure

1. Click on Backup to save the current contents on your SD card.
2. Provide a name for your backup file in the field form (Example:Backup1 or Backup20XX-June)
3. Click on Backup button to start the process and wait until it finishes.

4. Backup Finished and now you can proceed to make New Update of you available maps following steps
from this link.

Restore Procedure

1. Click on Restore button if you want to recover an older version of the contents or if you loose or damage your SD Card
2. If you have already done backup before, Mazda Toolbox will display the available files saved (Backup1 or Backup20XX-June) to be restored on your SD Card
3. Select the backup file which you want to restore and wait until the process finishes.

NOTE: The Restore process can take several minutes. You can take a coffee break .
Once the process is initiated it cannot be cancelled.
